Cleaning Instructions

  • webe kälm is dishwasher safe in the top rack. Simply remove the indicator with the ball and slide the breathe tube and indicator onto the uprights of the top rack. Let it air dry or heat dry. Wash as needed.

Remove indicator from breathe tube by gripping the indicator with your index finger and thumb and wiggle the indicator until it separates from the breathe tube.

Dishwasher: For a convenient cleaning option, place it on the top rack of your dishwasher. Slide the mouthpiece of the breathe tube over an upright dishwasher prong, and then insert the upright prong into the indicator window, making sure the indicator is placed in an upside-down orientation.

Hand Wash: Alternatively, hand washing is also effective. Use dish soap and hot water along with a cleaning brush to reach inside both the indicator and breathe tube. This method ensures a thorough clean for your webe kälm.

The webe kälm can be dried using two methods:

Dishwasher Air Dry Cycle: After cleaning, you can utilize the Dry Cycle on your dishwasher or air dry the components separately before reassembling the webe kälm.

Air Dry: If opting for air drying, it's essential to wait until all moisture has completely evaporated from both the indicator and breathe tube before proceeding with the reassembly process.

How often should I wash it?

Nonetheless, a helpful rule of thumb is to trust your instincts – if you sense the need for cleaning, it's a reliable indicator.

Can I store it after use in the carry case?

As outlined in the washing instructions, it's essential to air dry the webe kälm to ensure a thorough cleaning cycle is achieved. Ideally, allowing both the indicator and breathing tube to fully dry before returning them to the carry case is recommended. We acknowledge that while on the move, this might not always be feasible. In such cases, it's perfectly acceptable to use the webe kälm, detach the breathing tube from the indicator, and store it in the carry case. At the day's end, simply remove it and assess whether cleaning is necessary or if it's suitable for continued use.

Is it okay to leave it in a hot car?

Certainly. You can indeed leave the webe kälm in a car on a hot summer day. However, it's important to ensure that it has cooled down to the touch before giving it to your child. This precaution will help prevent any risk of them accidentally burning their lips.
